Kel's Dream World-- Part 2

One of my true loves is what some people, trying to be disparaging, describe as "junk food." Several years back, one such person declared that after my demise I would not need to be embalmed because I allegedly have so many preservatives in me. However, I will rate the amount of times a year I am sick with a cold etc against anyone who eats "healthy" food.

One of my favorite treats is the Hostess Orange Cupcake, which I only discovered about eight years ago. The traditional Hostess Cupcake, of course, is chocolate with creme filling and the famous white swirls on the top; this one is similar except that it is orange flavored and seems much more moist. That was the only real flaw to the usual HCC: it was a little dense or dry or something. You really needed a beverage, especially if you were intending to eat both cupcakes in the package. It seems to be true of most pre -packaged cupcakes, but the Tastycake version is superior because its smaller, flatter shape makes it easier to eat without a drink, and the new chocolate creme filled are pretty close to perfect.

  • My wish is this: why are the Orange Hostess Cupcakes
not sold in the larger boxes?
I would buy those immediately and often. Is the popularity of the Chocolate Cupcake that significantly higher? An interesting hybrid would be the orange cake with the chocolate frosting. I saw recently where there are kits where one can make HCC at home so perhaps this might be a good project.
