Excitement!

The local library made my day when I discovered that they had gotten a copy of Reading the OED, as I had so fervently wished. AND it was right there waiting for me, so I get to read it first and right away. It reminded me (as I desperately needed) that even when things are bleak, something can happen to bring unexpected and true joy.
